This tobacco tin is red featuring an eagle within a gold oval. Hinged lid snaps tightly and securely. The front and back read identically:

One side is marked P.Lorillard Company in script. The other reads within a square:
"FACTORY No. 6 FIRST DISTRICT of O. Notice - The Manufacturer of this tobacco has complied with all requirements of law every person is cautioned under the penalty of law not to use this package for tobacco again." In tiny print under this it reads "FEDERAL TIN CO. Baltimore". Also: "for Pipe and (covered by stamp label).
Measures 4 3/8 inches tall, 3 inches wide, and 7/8 inches deep. Tin is in good vintage condition with minor scratches on one side, a bit of rust on the other/minor spots inside, the graphics are completely legible. The tax stamp is intact and completely legible, as well!
