A very lovely antique / vintage silver plate (may be silver) medal of the Lady of Fatima whose 6th & last appearance to the three young Portuguese girls on 13 October 1917, when related, astonished the world. WWI was robbing the countries involved of their future - as it was held in the wasted lives of their men & boys . Perhaps 'wasted' is not the correct word, but that War To End All Wars did not have that result & in it lay the seeds to WWII.
The Vision of Fatima came with a prophecy these children were told not to reveal. For those who believe, the Lady of Fatima also represents Protection.
Measures approximately 1 inch in diameter. The Miracle of the 3 children looking up at Mary is shown on one side and a profile of Mary on the reverse.
